Fall 2011

Our journalists' blogs

Student journalists traveled in Fall Semester 2011 to National Park Service sites in several states — as far west as Wyoming and California, as far south as the tip of South Florida and the Gulf of Mexico.

In October and November, School of Communication students visited several parks within the park service system. At the end of October, Five students traveled to Wyoming and reported and wrote stories about Grand Teton National Park.

And, in mid November, a second group of students flew to Los Angeles and drove east to the Southern California desert to visit Joshua Tree National Park. Still other writers and photographers spent time at South Florida's Everglades National Park, Big Cypress National Preserve, Dry Tortugas National Park, and Biscayne National Park.

The blog entries linked on this page are written by the writers and photographers about their trips for this website.
