Park Activities

Our National Parks offer a wide range of individual and group activities. Among them are:

Swimming. Hiking. Urban walks. Camping. Sailing. Diving. Mountain climbing. Horseback riding. Fishing. Boating. Kayaking. Touring. Nature walks. Interpretive tours. Canoeing. Climbing. Nature classes and workshops. Art. Photography classes. Lectures. History. People watching. Wildlife watching. Museums. Exhibitions. Dining.

Our feature articles on this Web site often describe these types of activities in vivid detail.

The easiest way to find one or more stories about a specific activity is to use our search tool at the top lright of the page.

Simply type a key word, such as "hiking" or "snorkeling", and the search tool will return a list of any stories that include the activity or other key word. Simply click on the story title link to go to the story. For a search that returns too many stories, try adding a second search term about a location such as a park or region such as "kayaking" and "Biscayne".

Please remember that each story's information was current when posted, but it may have changed. Always check prices, hours of operation, dates, and other information at each park before traveling.
